Ingredients
Main Ingredients:
200 g Alaska Sockeye Salmon
1/2 Lime
1 Lemongrass Stick, crushed
7 Bird’s Eye Chilis
3 tablespoons Cooking Oil, for sautéing
100 ml Water
Grounded Spice Ingredients:
6 cloves Shallots
5 cloves Garlic
1 Lemongrass Stick, thinly sliced
4 Candlenuts, roasted
1 Turmeric
1 Galangal
Directions
- Coat the Alaska Sockeye Salmon with lime juice, then set it aside for 10-15 minutes.
- Blend all the spices together, then set the mixture aside.
- Heat up cooking oil in a pan and sauté the spices until fragrant. Add the crushed lemongrass and stir-fry until the spices are cooked and the color has changed.
- Pour water into the mixture and mix well. Add the salmon and bird’s eye chilis.
- Season with sugar and salt, and cook until the salmon is fully cooked. Turn off the heat and serve the flavorful Sockeye Salmon with Turmeric Pickled Vegetables.
